Trading ideas: Fajabaru, Mitrajaya, Datasonic, MISC


KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Fajabaru, Mitrajaya, Datasonic and MISC to be among the stocks to watch on Monday.

It said Fajarbaru had inked a deal with AK Timber Sdn Bhd to extract and sell timber in Hutan Simpan Yong in Mukim Tembeling, Jerantut, Pahang, for RM3.15mil.

Mitrajaya bagged a RM52.19mil contract to undertake main infrastructure works at Pahang Technology Park in Gambang, Pahang, for the East Coast Economic Region Development Council under Package 1B.

JF Apex Research said as for Datasonic, it was reported the group was vying the passport booklet and smart chip contracts from the Immigration Department.

MISC was reported to be again scouting for a buyer for its wholly owned haulage and road transport arm MISC Integrated Logistics Sdn Bhd (MILS).

Last Friday, US markets pared earlier gains to end higher on Friday after minutes of the Federal Reserve meeting indicates no immediate rate hike. 

Similarly, European stocks climbed following higher oil price and minutes from the Fed's meeting.
 
At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI closed up 14.34 points to 1,706.54 last Friday. 

“After breaking the psychological level of 1,700, we expect the index to head towards the 1,750-point threshold as the bullish momentum continues,” said the research house.
