MPSP move is to appease licensed hawkers unhappy over rental hike and competition

THE Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) will increase its enforcement on unlicensed traders in markets and hawker complexes.

Speaking at the dialogue with south Seberang Prai district traders on the increase of stall rental rates, MPSP president Maimunah Mohd Sharif said the council had heard licensed traders’ complaint about unfair competition from unlicensed traders.
