Pelepok longhouse to get power supply by year-end

KUCHING: Residents of Pelepok longhouse in Ulu Padeh, Betong, will no longer have to rely on generators for electricity when an ongoing mini-hydroelectricity project is completed in December.

The rural community project was initiated by Betong PKR divisional chief Vernon Kedit and a Kuala Lumpur-based NGO earlier this year.
