VIETNAM has managed to reduce the dropout rate to almost zero at primary schools in its central province of Quang Nam, thanks to a project to enhance school quality, funded by foreign donors.
Nguyen Tan Tu, an education official in the province said the School Education Quality Assurance Programme which was implemented at 48 primary schools in eight mountainous districts since March 2010, had brought about some positive results.
