38,549 receive public university offers for 2012/2013


PUTRAJAYA: A total of 38,549 candidates obtained places in public institutions of higher learning (IPTAs) to attend first degree programmes for the 2012/2013 academic session.

Higher Education Department director-general Prof Datuk Dr Rujhan Mustafa said the successful candidates, representing a decrease of 1.5% from the previous session, were from 63,467 who had applied.
