KUALA LUMPUR: Chin Peng’s ashes or memorabilia will never be allowed into the country, insisted Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

The IGP’s stance, however, contradicts that of Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who told reporters at Parliament earlier Wednesday that the Home Ministry did not have the right to stop anyone from bringing in the former Communist Party of Malaya leader’s ashes.
