More names emerge as possible successor

PETALING JAYA: The focus thus far has been on Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg or Tan Sri Adenan Satem taking over as Sarawak chief minister when Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud steps down at the end of the month.

Now, two other senior PBB leaders – Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan and former Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohd Effendi Norwawi – are also said to be in the running.
