KUALA LUMPUR: Schoolboy Badrul Hisham Abdul Manap (pic, right) ran the race of his life to shatter the 17-year-old men’s national 100m record.
The 18-year-old clocked a sizzling 10.29 seconds at the Asean Schools Games in Brunei on Monday to shatter Sarawakian Watson Nyambek’s 10.30 set at the 1998 pre-Commonwealth Games. He retained the gold, having won in 10.49 in last year’s Games in Marikina City in the Philippines.
