Lin Dan clinches year's first Superseries title in Japan


KUALA LUMPUR: Lin Dan of China made a remarkable fightback to win his first Super­series title this year at the Japan Open.

Five-time world champion Lin Dan was trailing 3-11 in the deciding game of the men's singles final against Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen but fought back to win 21-19, 16-21, 21-19 in one hour and 18 minutes.
