Massive fire engulfs packaging factory in Vinh Phuc

VINH PHUC: A large fire engulfed a packaging factory in Trung Nhi Ward, Phuc Yen City, Vinh Phuc Province on Thursday (July 4) night.

The flame broke out at 9pm and quickly tore through the 3000sq m factory stocked with a large quantity of flammable materials.

The dense smoke plume was visible even from a distance of 40km, causing widespread alarm among residents in the surrounding area.

Ten fire engines and hundreds of firefighters were swiftly dispatched to the scene. The intense heat and the highly combustible materials posed significant challenges to firefighting.

Despite the arduous conditions, they contained the fire by around 12am on Friday. No live losses were reported.
