KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities has queried property-based Emico Bhd over the recent rise in the price and volume of its shares.
It directed Emico, which is also makes consumer products, to determine the reasons for the unusual market activity.
On Monday, its share price jumped 14.5 sen to 41 sen, the highest in recent years, in active trade.
However, at 10.24am on Tuesday, it fell four sen to 37 sen.
Bursa Securities directed the company to check with the directors, major shareholders on the reasons for the UMA.
It also advised investors to take note of the company’s reply to the UMA query when making their investment decisions.
