Eversendai in strategic partnership to compete better in tenders

KUALA LUMPUR: Eversendai Corp Bhd’s unit Eversendai Constructions (M) Sdn Bhd (ECSB) will work together with Puspajaya Aluminium Sdn Bhd (PASB), a contractor for aluminium and glazing facade works, in submitting tenders.

The engineering and construction firm said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that ECSB entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the purpose of the strategic tie-up.

PASB would be awarded as a sub-contractor for the scope of work comprising design, supply, fabrication and installation of aluminium/glazing facade should ECSB secure an award.

“A strategic tie-up with a facade specialised contractor of PASB’s reputation, experience and standing will enhance the proposal for tenders,” Eversendai said.

PASB is involved in the business of design, supply, fabrication and installation of facade and aluminium products and related sub-contract works with over 40 years of experience and has built a reputation as a specialist in aluminium facade works.

The MoU would not have any material effect on the share capital and substantial shareholders shareholdings of the company and was not expected to have any material effect on the net assets, earnings and gearing for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2015, it added. - Bernama

Eversendai shares gained half a sen to close at 78 sen on Tuesday.
