KUALA LUMPUR: Seacera Group Bhd’s 60%-owned subsidiary, SPAZ Sdn Bhd, has been prequalified for the construction works related to the proposed Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) and proposed Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE).
The company, which is involved in the tiles manufacturing, property and construction businesses, told Bursa Malaysia that SPAZ had received two letters from Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd’s (Prolintas) unit Turnpike Synergy Sdn Bhd inviting it to participate in the tenders for both projects.
Prolintas is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Bhd.
For the DASH project, SPAZ has been prequalified in four out of the eight separate contract works packages: Puncak Alam-Alam Suria; Alam Suria-Denai Alam and Rubber Research Insitute of Malaysia (RRIM)-Kota Damansara; Denai Alam-Kampung Melayu Subang and the connection to Guthrie Corridor Expressway; and the Mutiara Damansara area.
For the SUKE project, it has been prequalified in one out of the nine separate contract works packages. The package relates to location of Pekan Kolam Ampang-Ulu Kelang and connection to Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE) and Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2).
Seacera also announced on Monday that its securities would be suspended from trading with effect from 9am on Tuesday (Jan 12), pending an announcement.
The counter closed unchanged at RM1.27 on Monday, with 7.953 million shares traded.
