KUALA LUMPUR: Wah Seong Corp Bhd’s joint venture pipe-coating business unit, Bayou Wasco Insulation LLC, has secured a sub-contract, valued at about US$74mil (RM294.5mil), for a deepwater, offshore insulation project in the Gulf of Mexico.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, Wah Seong Corp said the sub-contract work involved the provision of insulation coating protection for the deepwater portion of an undersea pipeline, which is the core business of the group.

“The sub-contract work is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Wah Seong Corp group,” it said. - Bernama
