MRT to announce 4 awards for line 2 in May

KUALA LUMPUR: Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) will announce four awards totalling between RM2.5bil and RM3bil for the RM32bil MRT line 2 from Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP line) this month. 

MRT Corp chief executive officer Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar said they expected to award another two viaduct work packages with total length of about 2.6km to be located in Putrajaya area. 

“We will also announce the first two system packages awards in one to weeks time. 

“We expect announce the balance of the six of out ten viaduct work packages within the next three to six months time,” he said.

He wa sspeaking to reporters at the launch of the second MRT Young Entrepreneurs Programme (MYEP) on Wednesday.
