AirAsia warns public of another online scam

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd has warned the public of another online scam that has been circulating via social media stating that the airline is offering free flights after completing a survey.

The survey is not conducted by AirAsia or any of its affiliates, the airline said, instead it is a scam capitalising on the AirAsia brand without authorisation.

“We advise the public to disregard such invitations and AirAsia shall not be held liable for any claims pertaining to the false scheme,” it said in a statement on Tuesday.

“We would like to reiterate that AirAsia does not enlist third party services in organising activities and any announcements are made via official channels such as credible mass media and our official social media channels,” the low-cost carrier said.

AirAsia has lodged a police report and will not hesitate to take legal action against individuals or groups involved in organising illegal schemes using the AirAsia brand. - Bernama
