US private equity fund may be close to initiating formal process

United States-based equity fund TPG Capital Management, which is reportedly courting AMMB Holdings Bhd chairman Tan Sri Azman Hashim with the view of buying up Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd’s (ANZ) block of shares in the Malaysian banking group, may be close to initiating a formal process towards this end.
