MBSB gets green light

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Building Society Bhd (MBSB) has been given the green light by Bank Negara to start negotiations on a proposed merger with Asian Finance Bank Bhd (AFB).

This confirms a report by StarBiz on Nov 22 that the local non-bank lender was in discussions with AFB on a potential merger and acquisition (M&A) deal.
