Shell Refining seeks name change to Hengyuan Refining Co Bhd

KUALA LUMPUR: Shell Refining Co (Federation of Malaya) Bhd (Shell Refining), has proposed to change its name to Hengyuan Refining Co Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Shell Refining said, the proposed name has been approved and reserved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM). 

“A circular to shareholders with details of the proposal will be issued to the shareholders soon,” it said.

The proposal, on approval of Shell Refining’s shareholders, will take effect from the date of the notice of registration of new name issuance by CCM, it said

On Dec 22, 2016, Shell announced the completion of the sale of its 51% stake in Shell Refining, which operates the Port Dickson refinery, to Malaysia Hengyuan International Ltd for US$66.3mil. - Bernama
