KUALA LUMPUR: Travel and lifestyle hotel group, AccorHotels, will launch three hotels in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah this year.
Chief operating officer of Malaysia-Indonesia-Singapore, Garth Simmons, told Bernama the hotels would be located in Kota Kinabalu, Taiping and Kuala Lumpur.
"We will be launching two mid-scale boutique hotels, Novotel Hotel in Taiping and Mercure Hotel in Kota Kinabalu in May and June, respectively," he said after the inaugural opening of Mercure Kuala Lumpur Shaw Parade Hotel in Pudu on Friday.
Simmons said the budget-friendly hotel, the Mercure Kuala Lumpur Selangor would be launched in the third quarter of the year.
The four-star Mercure Hotel Kuala Lumpur Shaw Parade features 213 contemporary guest rooms, with an all-day dining restaurant, roof-top pool bar and fitness centre.
The hotel, build at the cost of RM122 million, is connected to the Shaw Parade Shopping Complex, owned by Shaw Plaza Sdn Bhd. - Bernama
