KUALA LUMPUR: Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) has awarded a RM41.87mil contract to Heitech Padu Bhd for the installation, operation and maintenance of PNB’s and its unit Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd’s managed wide area network infrastructure.

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia, the information technology (IT) systems and technology services provider said it and PNB inked the agreement on Feb 15.

The contract spans five years starting from Sept 1, 2016.

PNB, an investment vehicle of Bumiputra Investment Foundation, owns 27.5% equity interest in HeiTech Padu.

In December 2012, PNB and HeiTech Padu had signed a master outsourcing agreement (MOA) for IT services for the years 2013-2014 with an option for a one-year extension.

Later, HeiTech agreed to continue providing the IT outsourcing services for a period of one year from Jan 1, 2016, with an option to extend the duration of the agreement for a further 12 months from the expiration of the MOA based on the same terms and conditions.
