Key Alliance buying RapidCloud to expand ICT exposure

KUALA LUMPUR: Key Alliance Group Bhd is expanding its ICT exposure through the purchase of a 100% stake in Rapidcloud International Plc’s (RCI) unit RapidCloud.

It said on Tuesday its unit DVM Innovate Sdn Bhd had made an offer to acquire RapidCloud from RCI, which provides cloud-based building blocks for its clients to create and manage powerful business solutions online.

As for RapidCloud, it is an enterprise cloud solutions provider in South East Asia, currently hosting overs 10,000 SME and corporate clients. It is also one of the established reseller of Alibaba Cloud in Malaysia.

Key Alliance Group said RapidCloud’s existing client base and product suite -- which includes its reseller status for both Alibaba Cloud services and Alibaba Global Gold Supplier status -- provides synergistic and leveraged opportunities for the group to expand its ICT exposure into the newly launched Digital Free Trade Zone based e-commerce industry.
