KUALA LUMPUR: Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) has added three Felda office holders to its board, including Felda acting director general Ab Ghani Mohd Ali.

The changes follow the appointment of Tan Sri Sulaiman Mahbob, 68, as acting chairman last month (June 19), taking over from Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad.

In filings with Bursa Malaysia, the world’s third largest oil palm estare operator said it had appointed Ab Ghani, 59; Pahang State Felda Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Abu Bakar Harun, 56; and Felda deputy director general (management) Datuk Muzzammil Mohd Nor, 45, as non-executive directors effective July 12.

Muzzammil serves as alternate director to Ab Ghani.

Ab Ghani, who was Felda deputy director general (economic development), assumes the post of acting director general earlier this year.

Abu Bakar, meanwhile, is also the Chini (Pahang) assemblyman.

Felda, or the Federal Land Development Authority, holds a 33.67% stake in FGV.
