Nazir transfers CIMB shares worth RM31.73mil

KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Group Holdings Bhd has informed Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd of the transfer of five million shares worth RM31.73mil in the company by chairman and director, Datuk Seri Nazir Razak (pic).

The transaction, made on July 25, was based on a price of RM6.3455 per share, the company said in the filing with Bursa Malaysia.

In an email, CIMB also explained that the transfer was made to a company owned by Nazir himself; hence, there was no change in the ultimate beneficiary of those shares.

The bank’s shares rose 19 sen to close at RM6.59 on Bursa Malaysia. - Bernama
