Bank Negara says yes to proposed STMB revamp


The Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) will be maintained at 3.25%, Bank Negara Malaysia announced at its Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting on Thursday.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara and the Finance Ministry have granted decisions-in-principle to Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Bhd (STMB) for its proposed reorganisation.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, STMB said, the Finance Ministry has decided to grant a family takaful business licence to the company under its new name, Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Bhd (STMKB).
