WCT bags RM840m LRT 3 contract


KUALA LUMPUR: WCT Holdings Bhd's unit has accepted a RM840mil contract from   Prasarana Malaysia Bhd to undertake a package of the Light Rail Transit 3 line.

The construction and property company said on Tuesday its unit WCT Bhd had accepted the contract to undertake package GS03 – building the guideways, stations, park and ride and ancillary buildings – for the LRT 3.

The LRT package is from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia in Klang. 

The works under the contract are expected to be completed within 33 months from the date of the letter of acceptance.

LRT3 is a double-track rail alignment of about 37km long with 26 stations covering the areas of Bandar Utama, Shah Alam and Klang, before ending at Johan Setia.
