Bursa Securities queries Hubline over sharp rise in share price


Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, aims to raise as much as US$500mil (RM2.13bil) in an IPO on Bursa Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities has queried Hubline Bhd over the sharp rise in the share price and volume recently.

At midday on Thursday,  the shipping company's share price was up 0.5 sen to 17.5 sen with 70.83 million shares done.

It has surged from only 6.5 sen about a month ago in rising trading volume.

The regulator directed Hubline to inquire with the directors, major shareholders and such other relevant persons where there was any corporate development which could have triggered the unusual market activity.
