KUALA LUMPUR: GoHalal e-commerce platform operator, Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd (Dagang Net), plans to expand its business operations to Indonesia next year.
Executive director Datuk Samsul Husin said towards this end, the company also planned to introduce products specific to the country, with a focus on quality.
“We are not emphasising on the quantity of transactions but quality of products,” he told reporters after launching the collaboration between Go Halal and cosmetics entrepreneur, Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman, in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.
Under the collaboration, GoHalal will be the distributor for exclusively designed headscarves produced by Aliff Syukri under the Aliff by Sha brand.
Dagang Net welcomed small and medium-sized entrepreneurs (SMEs) to participate in its e-commerce platform to expand their businesses, Samsul said.
“We will help these entrepreneurs, as our research revealed that apart from facing financial constraints, SMEs generally lacked expertise in terms of marketing and promotions,” he added.
He urged entrepreneurs interested in collaborating with GoHalal to surf its website at www.gohalal.com.my or visit its offices at Bangsar (Kuala Lumpur) and Jelutong (Selangor).
“Following the rebranding in September this year, GoHalal is aiming for average monthly sales of between RM2mil and RM3mil for the rest of the year,” Samsul said.
Meanwhile, Aliff Syukri said GoHalal would offer about 5,000 pieces of headscarves in 15 exclusive designs for RM99 each.
Dagang Net Technologies is a subsidiary of Dagang Nexchange Bhd, a company listed on Bursa Malaysia and primarily engaged in the oil, gas and energy sector.
GoHalal distributes over 1,000 products through a network of 300 traders. - Bernama
