The increasingly corrupt Barisan Nasional government (being in power for more than 60 years) was decisively overthrown, and a healthy 92-year old Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (the new comeback-kid) returned as Prime Minister, leading the four-party opposition coalition back to power. There’s good reason for Malaysians to be joyous.
