Kitacon unit awarded RM111.23mil building job


KUALA LUMPUR: Kitacon Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Kitacon Sdn Bhd has accepted a contract from Sime Darby Property (Bukit Raja) Sdn Bhd for main building works valued at RM111.23mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the construction will include 27 type A1 detached factories with a two-storey office, one detached A2 factory with a two-storey office, two Tenaga Nasional substations including infrastructure and other associated works in Phase i4, Bandar Bukit Raja III, Mukim Kapar, in Klang, Selangor.

It said the contract will commence on Sept 2, 2024, and will be completed within 23 months.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of Kumpulan Kitacon for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2024, onwards until the expiry of the contract.
