KUCHING: Sarawak wants to explore the possibility of setting up industrial forests with fast-growing indigenous trees to supply wood for the timber industry.

Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg said this would help to preserve the state’s existing permanent forests and totally protected areas while maintaining the timber industry.
