Canada to join hands fighting child marriage

KUCHING: The Canadian government has welcomed collaboration with local civil societies to raise awareness against child, early and forced marriages that is widespread across the globe.

Canada’s High Commissioner to Malaysia Judith St George said preventing child, early and forced marriages and addressing its impacts on girls and women required a comprehensive approach that promoted human rights and gender equality.
