Exchanging MyRapid concession card to take as little as 15-min

Prasarana's Lim Jin Aun (right) briefing concession cardholders at the Subang Jaya LRT station.

THE waiting period for MyRapid concession cardholders to get their new MyRapid Touch ‘n Go (TnG) cards has been narrowed down to 15 minutes for select groups of users, said public transport provider Prasarana Malaysia Bhd (Prasarana).

“The time period spent by the disabled and senior citizens is usually not more than 15 minutes, while for the students it may take up to an hour due to the high numbers,” said Prasarana group communications and strategic marketing department executive vice-president Lim Jin Aun.

He assured commuters that there was enough manpower and machinery to meet the July 15 deadline.

The statement comes amidst complaints that cardholders had to wait for hours at the concession counter at the Pasar Seni Bus Hub to exchange their cards.

However, since June 21, additional concession counters have been opened at the Subang Jaya LRT, Awan Besar LRT and, most recently, Sri Rampai LRT.

“We have a staff of 10 at each station and enough equipment which will help to expedite the migration process,” said Lim.
