Help realise SCORE dream, technical education institutions urged


KUCHING, 3 Dis -- Timbalan Menteri Pendidikan Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching (dua, kanan) menyampaikan piala kepada Michellina Rintha Thomas (kiri) pada majlis konvokesyen Pusat Pembangunan Kemahiran Sarawak (PPKS) dan Kolej Teknologi Lanjutan Antarabangsa Sarawak (i-CATS) kali ke-16 di sini hari ini. Turut sama Pengerusi PPKS dan Presiden I-CATS Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Datuk Husain (kanan) dan Pengarah Eksekutif PPKS Datuk Baharudin Abdullah (dua, kiri). KUCHING: Technical education institutions must rise to the challenge of producing skilled workers to meet the requirements of the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE).

Deputy Education Minister Datuk Mary Yap said the state government aimed to increase the number of technical graduates by 200% or 68,000 people by 2015.
