KUALA LUMPUR: Most parents may not be in favour of firearms training in the National Service but the “young guns” are raring to get their hands on M16 assault rifles.

The latest batch of 27,089 trainees who left for 77 camps nationwide yesterday will be the first group to handle M16 assault rifle and live ammunition since the NS started in 2004.
