Penang's Partners against Poverty programme

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Government has introduced the Partners Against Poverty (PAP) programme that will see corporations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) donating in cash or kind to aid its efforts in becoming the first state in the country to wipe out hardcore poverty.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said so far, 22 partners such as the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers, the YMCA, Lions Club of George Town and Yayasan Aman have committed to the programme.
