PETALING JAYA: Electricity use in Peninsular Malaysia has spiked from 12,906MW in Jan 1 to 17,788MW on April 20 due to the El Nino phenomenon, said Tenaga Nasional Bhd.
This is a 37.82% increase in peak demand, the utility company said in a statement on Thursday night.
