Wanita MCA: It’s highly disturbing

GOMBAK: Even before PAS hudud law is allowed to be implemented in Kelantan, disturbing symptoms of the proposed law targeting non-Muslims, particularly women, are already evident in the state, says Wanita MCA chief Datuk Heng Seai Kie.

She was commenting that during the first week of Ramadan, 31 Muslim women in the state were hauled up for not wearing a tudung or for dressing in tight outfits. Some of them had to undergo counselling by religious officials – failing which, they could be arrested.
