Michael Chong: Errant service providers to be referred to MCMC

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Michael Chong (pic) will be referring to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) cases of errant mobile service providers who trick users into subscribing to unwanted services.

The MCA Public Services and Complaints Department chief said that he had received eight complaints so far this year where mobile users were duped into subscribing to services via SMS resulting in about RM60 to RM70 being added to their mobile charges per month.
