PUTRAJAYA: Customs officers at border checkpoints will be armed, with the department’s newly appointed director-general Datuk T. Subromaniam pledging to “go to war” against smugglers.
This move to arm Customs officers will go into effect next week in an effort to avoid “untoward incidents” at borders, he said.
