Pedestrians’ welfare often neglected, says Pulau Tikus rep

GEORGE TOWN: All levels of government must take greater responsibility for the "neglected welfare" of pedestrians and commuters, a state assemblyman said.

DAP's Pulau Tikus representative Yap Soo Huey, commenting on the hit-and-run which claimed the life of a 58-year-old pedestrian, said some policies and actions of local councils and councillors had resulted in unsafe environments for pedestrians and commuters.
