Overseas travel not a basic right, appeals panel in Tony Pua travel ban case told

PUTRAJAYA: It is not the fundamental right under the Constitution for Malaysians to travel abroad, a Court of Appeal heard.

Senior Federal Counsel Shamsul Bolhassan submitted that Article 5 of the Federal Constitution only refers to freedom from being unlawfully detained.
