KUALA LUMPUR: Some 1,000 young creative arts practitioners, including children and teenagers, will congregate in Malaysia on Aug 2 to compete in two international youth arts festivals.

“We hope the platform will make art more accessible to ordinary people, and cultivate artistic literacy among the younger generation in Malaysia,” said the Malaysian Chinese Culture and Arts Consultative Council (MCCACC) chairman Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun during a press conference at Wisma MCA.
