KUALA LUMPUR: Army troops in Sabah are on standby to face any possible threats amid the ongoing conflict in Marawi, the Philippines, said Jen Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor.
“We will place our troops accordingly but based on the previous intrusion and incidents in the southern Philippines, we have already upscaled our presence (in Sabah) in view of any possibilities in the area,” the Armed Forces chief said yesterday.
