PUTRAJAYA: Employers’ lukewarm response in applying for E-kads (enforcement cards) for their illegal foreign workers is disappointing, with the Immigration director-general warning employers and workers that they will face the brunt of the law once the June 30 deadline is over.
Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali said at the start of the programme in February, the department expected to register between 400,000 and 600,000 illegal foreign workers.
