GEORGE TOWN: The Penang government has stressed that it did not overpay on consultation fees of the three paired roads meant to be the traffic dispersal system for the proposed undersea tunnel.
State Local Government Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the allegation that the state had paid four times higher than the standardised gazetted scale of fee for professional engineering consultancy was not true.
