One out of 10 buildings inspected nationwide at risk of fire

KUALA LUMPUR: Over 3,000 of 23,282 buildings or about 13% inspected nationwide since 2016 were found to be at risk of fire.

Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar said that a total of 16,862 buildings were inspected by the Fire and Rescue Services Department last year, and 2,194 of these were found to be at risk of fire.
