Medical officer cheated of RM100,000 after thinking son was arrested for drug trafficking

SIBU: A 58-year-old medical officer has claimed that he was cheated of RM100,000 by a man who told him that his son had been detained by police for drug trafficking.

The victim said he received the call on Thursday morning from a man claiming to be an assistant superintendent and that he needed to make a payment to "free" his son.
