Judicial Commissioner recuses himself from hearing Anwar's application

KUALA LUMPUR: A High Court judicial commissioner has recused himself from hearing Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's application to set aside his conviction for sodomising Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.

Anwar's lawyer N. Surendran said JC Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh announced the decision in chambers on the grounds that he was a member of the Government in 2008.
