SEREMBAN: Police have obtained a remand order to detain two suspects over the alleged abduction of a 10-year-old girl from her home in Port Dickson on Monday morning.

The duo, believed to be students at a polytechnic here, were arrested on Tuesday night to assist in investigations.

The suspects, aged 21 and 18, were remanded for six and four days respectively.

The girl's father had found his daughter missing when he went to wake her up for school at around 6am Monday morning.

The girl's six-year-old brother, who was in the same room, was sound asleep.

When he father found the back door ajar and cash missing from his wallet, he suspected that his house had been burgled and his daughter abducted.

The girl's hands were bound when she was found.

The family lives at the workers' quarters at the polytechnic.

The girl has been sent to the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital in Seremban for treatment and counselling.
